Goodbye Real World, Hello College

Summer '07 RIP. It was a good one for sure. I am now in Oberlin, Ohio where I think I will be spending a good part of the next 5 years of my life. I keep getting short moments of "Oh shit! I'm in college! what?!" and then other times its like, "WHOO COLLEGE!! YEAH!" It's all part of it sinking in I guess.

So I'm in a band called Cave Newts, and we are currently finishing up a split with Chow Bros and we played the Silent Barn on Tuesday and if you like keeping it real than you should check us out, because that's all we really do is -- Keep it Real.

The Rats of NIMH put on a stellar show at Don Pedros on Monday. Got some pics:

Lullatone brought on the child-like vibes. This Japanese couple makes music that sounds as if Nobukazu Takemura met up with Múm to make a soundtrack for playfully wrestling a koala bear or blowing bubbles to in the summer, or something equally as cute. I think that their style has more to do with weird japanese sensibilities than with obnoxious trying to be over the top cutsiness. You be the judge:
